Rezidor is now focussed on fully capitalising on our global synergies with our long-standing partner - the US based Carlson Group. Carlson is the world’s largest, privately owned travel and hospitality company and the successful relationship between our two companies dates back to 1994, when Rezidor signed a Master Franchise Agreement with Carlson Hotels Worldwide to create Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts.
Carlson is the brand owner of Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson and is also Rezidor’s largest shareholder, while Rezidor is Carlson’s master franchisee in Europe, the Middle East and Africa Rezidor supports Carlson’s “Ambition 2015” strategy - fuelled by an investment programme of up to USD 1.5 billion.
Our two companies are now working in unison to ensure the global alignment of our brands. We are also united in our ever- increasing efforts to generate revenue - with a re-engineered global sales force. Our joint Club CarlsonSM loyalty programme is a true market leader, offering the fastest way to free nights. And, as a further indication of the strengthening of the link between Carlson and Rezidor, we now present ourselves together at a joint booth at industry gatherings and international trade fairs.
